CCL Interchem has expanded its conveyor lubrication and hygiene business within the food and beverage industry with the purchase of Daventry-based Pentasol (FB) from Global Chemical Technologies. "This is a strategic addition to CCL's core business," said CCL Managing Director Alex MacDonald. "Pentasol's products, services, talent and customers complement CCL's existing business and extend our ability to offer cost-effective solutions, compelling products and services to potential new customers. It is these competitive differentiators that have led many customers to choose Pentasol." Mr MacDonald went on to say: "We are excited by the considerable potential that Pentasol brings to CCL. We have high expectations for the business, and believe this acquisition will continue to strengthen CCL as a leading provider of total hygiene management solutions to all sectors of the food and beverage markets, as well as provide solid long-term growth opportunities." CCL Interchem was founded in 1985 and operates from its purpose-built production, office and training facility in Haydock, St Helens, Merseyside. The company's customer base extends across the whole of the UK, plus areas of India, Spain, Holland, France and Ireland. CCL will continue to work with former owners of Pentasol, Global Chemical Technologies, who trade as B&V Group, to provide the popular Clearstream cost-saving initiative that has proved so successful on many sites. Global Chemical Technologies Managing Director Simon Ward said: "We believe this is a very beneficial arrangement for Pentasol customers as the combined strength and expertise of CCL Interchem and Pentasol will significantly enhance the technical support and products available to them." |
